Mr. Christopher Curran principal of Holy Family Primary School, recently presented a £3,000.00 cheque to Mr. Mark Mc Mahon of 'Trocaire' on behalf of the pupils, of our school. Trocaire is the official Third World Aid Organization, of the Irish Catholic Church.
The pupils were represented, at the presentation by both our Eco council and the school council.
A variety of events and activities had been organized by the staff and pupils during Lent, including a'Teddy Bears Picnic', a Super Hero sponsored walk, all the way to Mc Grath's shop,(where the children received an ice-cream), a 'Colour Run', a Danceathon, a Daily Circuit trainning session and sponsored jobs at home. The children also designed and filled a personal Trocaire box and organized an in- house Easter raffle.
The impressive total will be doubled under the present Government scheme.
