Joe Kearney visited P5 to talk about the meaning behind all the town lands surrounding the Teconnaught area. The children all learned the Irish pronunciation of their town land and where the name originated from.
Joe brought the Joe McDonagh Bronze, Silver and Gold awards that Teconnaught GAA club were awarded for promotion of the Irish Language in the community. The Gold award was presented last week in Croke park. Congratulations to Teconnaught club for all of the work they do to help promote the Irish language in the community and in Holy Family Primary School.
