Today we were fortunate to have a visit from NI Water. Primary 3, 4, 5 and 6 took part in a workshop to learn more about the importance of preserving water.
We have received a Waterbutt from NI Water and hope to paint our own design on to it! Each class also received a free reusable water bottle and a four minute shower timer to save hot water, energy and money.
Some tips from NI Water...
- Take a shower instead of a bath
- Turn off a dripping tap
- Use a watering can and not a hose
- Keep a water bottle in the fridge
- Collect rain water in a waterbutt
- Only wash clothes when the washing machine is full
