We have enjoyed learning about the concept of multiplication by making equal groups of different objects and then counting in 2s 5s and 10s to find the total. We tried to measure the length of the playground using our feet, and our desks using our hands but realised that we need a standard unit of measure that is the same for everyone. We now know what 1 metre looks like and can estimate length very well.
